Summary: Appmania LockScreen Helper does not collect, store, send or share any personal data. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDK. It does not have the internet permission, so it cannot send anything off your device.
None.
The app requests no Android permissions. In particular it does not request the INTERNET permission, which means it has no network access and is technically unable to transmit information.
The app uses Android’s AccessibilityService API for one purpose only: to lock your screen when you ask
it to, using the system action GLOBAL_ACTION_LOCK_SCREEN. Android offers no other way for an
app like this to lock the screen.
The service is configured to receive no accessibility events and cannot retrieve window content. It does not read your screen, does not record what you type, does not see which apps you use and does not take screenshots. No data is collected, stored or shared through the Accessibility Service API.
The app shows a disclosure screen and asks for your agreement before it sends you to Android’s Accessibility settings. You can turn the service off at any time in Settings → Accessibility. The app stops working as soon as you do.
The app stores exactly two values on your device, both about its own disclosure screen:
These values contain no personal information, never leave your device, are excluded from backups and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
App Mania launchers that offer “Double tap to lock” can ask this app to lock the screen. The request contains only the name of the app making it. That name is used for on-device diagnostics only. It is not stored and not transmitted.
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
Any change will be published on this page with a new date.
